i also have a vibration problem with my car . I myself balanced the wheels 5 times with the high speed laser balancing machine at my work place, aligned the car 4 times on a john bean alignement machine (before and after having it serviced) car is STILL pulling to the fucking left after 4 alignement and i have been having a steering wheel shimmer the whole summer even after balancing the wheels 4 times i think the 9th gen lancer front end is just pure utter crappy shit  and the dealer dont wanna hear me (the cant even fix a rattle in the car ,took them 3 hours 12 kilometers,to find nothing, in under 15 minutes i did localised the problem, rear packing shelf rubbing on window tint excedent) mitsubishi sucks seriously my first and last of this brand
Dude that sucks, strange it is with both sets of rims, mine used to vibrate insanely bad at around sixty till i changed the stock tires out (which you did). But what was really strange is it did not do it until after i had it aligned at the dealership because it was way out of spec. and i was like 15 miles over the 12,000 so it was 98 dollars, F#ck the dealerships alignment. Could of had it done for free at the local college or for like 40 in a close town that is not 50 miles away like the dealership. Just another item on my long list of things under warranty F#cked up with this car. Got it balanced at a tire shop my uncle recommended as "the only place in western North Carolina that can balance a wheel" (mechanic) and it felt like i was driving it brand new again, plus no pull to the left. It really sounds like you may have some serious front end issues for it to be with both sets... Hope you get it straightened out though.
well i went and told the dealership what was up and.... they are continuing to blame my rims... even though the stock ones are on there they are now saying that the after market rims warped my axle from driving on it and they won't do anything about it..... they just don't want to own up to there mistake...
Well if im not mistaken the vibration is probably coming from the front and i dont think there is an axel in the front, isnt it a half shaft??? I may be mistaken but im pretty sure thats what they have. I think it would take more than a bad wheel to mess that up
Well my Lancer vibrates all around when I rev up to the skies after I installed my Short Ram Intake from RRM. So... do u have an SRI like the on from RRM installed? I love the sound on the SRI but whenever I hear the car vibrate inside (well that that big of a deal anyways, like sometimes around the dashboard and door handle) it makes me feel like our Lancer's interior really is that cheap (as they've said it so many times on Car Reviews online). oh well.
This was happening to my lancer GTS when i felt the steering wheel vibrate when stopping, i am changing my rotors to RRM slotted rotors today. I spoke to MITSU and they said I needed to shave my rotors ansd that would cost me $189 w/pads. I said heck no and purchased RRM rotors for $199 and pads for another $89. hope this helps.
Guess what, i changed the rotors and the steering column doesnt pulse anymore. The rotors look hot!!! Thanks RRM!!!!
I think you may need center rings for your aftermarket wheels if you have those on, i am using center rings on my Tenzo's.
