i do agree with you about the strain supercharges need to be matched to the engine its not like you can put a supercharger for a large 8 on a 4 doesn't work that way

what im actually more looking to do is either find or custom build an "assisted" supercharger if possible. something like an electric / belt driven supercharger looking maybe to have a 2 stage fan system a first smaller fan for all the time power built off the belts and then a secondary fan run off an electric switch for "on demand" boost. havent seem to find anything like that so far but doesnt mean it cant be custom built.

something what you are talking about, i have seen on "Road Warrior" w/Mel Gibson...jk butt that will take a lot of work and cash. If you decide to go that route, boosting would be way easier but it is a challenge to get everything right, especially a proper tune. Good Luck

ya i know it would be a lot harder most likely in the long run harder than putting in a turbo but the thing is its a lot different than the norm. thats why i want to do it. i dont want to be like everyone else and oh i wanna put a turbo on woohoo. Thats not be i like to be different. once i start work on it most likely it will be a modified low psi belt driven supercharger ill post a progress report.

Sounds good in theory, but we'll have to wait and see how this turns out. I'm actually quite interested.

quick update im in the process of looking at individual parts for the custom setup so far im looking around 200 and nowhere near complete

Im looking at a smaller belt driven supercharger as the first stage something meant really for a 1.2 L as compared to a full 2.0 for the first stage and then an electric "boost" supercharger as the second "on demand" supercharger.

more research to be done first few steps in a long process.

btw does anyone have a good way to test PSI output from either a turbo or supercharger, what ive read it would theoretically work for both
