i'm thinking you mean one of 2 things?

    a. your having trouble getting people to leave you feedback?

    b. you know someone who bought something from a seller that had a low feedback and now you have to listen to them moan about how they got screwed over?

Either way, it's because ebay's feedback system is getting to be a joke now. you can't leave negative feedback against buyers at all and seller's negative feedback gets wiped from their score (not comments) after 1 year.

though i can't really help much who i sell to. i will send "friendly" reminders for them to leave feed back and i'll not post on theirs until i see they've given me mine. as far as buying, i won't buy from anyone with lower than 98% and that depends on how many sells they have and how many negatives they've had and i actually read the comments to see why, since i understand you cant sell to 100,000 people and still keep EVERYONE happy.

    A. :D

Ive bought 6 things in the past week and got NO feedback on them. In the past 2 months i sold 8 things and got NO feedback.
That is what the system is for.

yep. don't try to just message them directly, you need to go thru the page the item is actually listed on, if it's still available. you need to click the "contact seller/buyer about the item" link so that way they have an easy reference link to click back on for the item instead of having to log in and figure out who you are and what you bought. If you've been doing that, great! if not, give it a try. and if it still takes say a week or more with no response do it again. until the page expires. if you get nothing by then i'd just chalk it up to a loss. it's not like you can force them to leave feedback or complain to ebay about it.

Most buyers, once they get the one or 2 items, they forget and don't check ebay for a while, unless you remeind them with an email. most sellers are actually like small companies and are selling at large volumes and it's easy to forget about 1 guy out of 500 sells that week.

i have emailed them like once in a while and i got a reply saying "when i get a chance i will" and yet you took the time to email me back, two months later NOTHING. as a seller (yes i know its not 500 a week) but as soon as i get the (hopefully) instant payment, i leave feedback

I just wish more people had the buying/selling mentality as me. Stay in contact, pay ASAP with an email if i cant, and ship ASAP and none of this bs about the item. i'm just too honest at times i guess. hell i wont use CL anymore because i bought a set of cracked rims that ended up costing me so much more. they hid it and when my dad (who i obviously cant trust) checked them he didnt CHECK them.

I dunno, I've sold things on Kijiji before lol never had an issue. Beats waiting to get the money via the interwebs (PayPal freezes the money half the time).

Cash is so much easier sometimes haha.

    To each their own though.

what ever happened to yard sales?

eh i just dont like meeting up with people after my rim ordeal. I sold my ADR Flite 5 and told the guy honestly EVERYTHING about them and he still tried to jew me.

Basically this is how it rolled out:

    1. Bought 18" Konig (CRACKED <- found out later) - $250 no tires
    2. 18" tires (wrong size cuz my shop was GAY coulda been $80 per tire instead of $110.) - $500
    3. Shop charged $120 to mount, balance, and "fix" the crack (which was flat 20 miles later)
    4. Bought ADR flite 5 for $425
    5. $110 to take the tires off the Konig and m/b on ADR
    6. Sold for $625.

that's why i won't leave feed back as a seller unless i've received it first. that way you have *something* they still need from you, though it is such a small thing. i buy all my shipping labels thru paypal so it's very easy to keep track of where everything is. i'll give them up to a week from the time i see that it's been delivered before i email the first time. somethign like:

    "Hello,
thanks again for your purchase! Just wanted you to know, i will be leaving positive feedback for you once i have received the same.

    Thank you,
    lordtygr"

out of all the things i've bought and sold the past couple of months, (sold 19, bought 3) i've only yet to receive 1 feedback.

I dont purchase those labels because i was only selling basketball cards that were starting bid .01 and shipping .99 (paypal takes .33 from $1 if only $1 is sent and shipping is .42 you do the math)

    Random Thought:

Is it weird that I like Raisin Bran cereal but pick the raisins out of it cuz raisins are gross?

There's regular Bran Flakes but it doesn't taste the same!! Its only good when you buy raisin bran then pick out the raisins....

i see what you mean but...

don't start for a penny... start at $1, people will still bid.

use usps priority mail, and don't set your own flat rate for shipping make the buyer pay at least actual shipping using a service of your choice.

add a few dollars for "handling." i usually do double what my listing fees are. it automatically gets added into the shipping cost. so for example, one of the items i sold:

    1 Lot Ipod Nano Accessories:

    sold for: +1.00
    Handling: +1.50
Shipping: +5.10 USPS Priority mail (2-3 days delivery)(the buyer only sees the combined $6.60)
    Total to me: $7.60
listing cost: -.75 (insertion of .35 and 4 pics at .10/ea)
    paypal fee: -.52
USPS Payment: -4.75 (why is this lower? i checked and found i could send the items in a flate rate envelope)
    Final value fee: -.09
New total i still have off something i sold for $1........

    $1.49

lol not alot, but better than losing money
