There is already a few tutorials on taking the head unit out.. they work with any type of duty like this... once you take out the old head unit, it would all be common sense when you are putting the dash kit on.

Anyways my distributor is getting me my price of this soon. so i might be gettin this next week. If by then nobody made a tutorial, I will do one. To add anotherone to my hundreds lol

oh and i DONT have the RF/ rockford system... so i will not need an amp bypass... from the beginning I knew i was gonna be doing some audio works to the car so i opted out for that option... the RF system is crap anyways IMO (unless you have the navi)... still the RF sub sucks donkey canuk

Hey thanks for explaining! So as I understand it is possible to have like pioneer DVD and still keep steering wheel controls active...
maybe if someone can post any vids of their dvd player.

Im pretty sure you can NOT keep your steering wheel controls with the scosche kit... im pretty sure you can do so with the metra kit.. that would explain the price difference....

Does it come with the factory wire harness?
I want to order the kit but im not thrilled about losing my steering wheel controls. But i got a hold of a a great deal on a touch screen that i cant pass up.

Attention: Everyone I have the kit and the wire harness for the Double din or single din is included with my package. But that does not tell if the steering wheel controls will work or not. The wire harness is the cable that hooks up to the factory wire harness that allows to use a aftermarket headunit without cutting or splicing factory cables. I have a Pioneer F series double din and my steering wheel controls work. You have to get a PAC module that allows steering wheel controls to work. Its an easy install and program. If you guys would like I can take a video and show that my steering wheel controls work. If you would like so, reply back with saying so. It enough demand I will post a video.

    Goodluck all!

I hardly used the 6 CD, especially with the aftermarket headunit it has a built in IPOD interface so I hardly even use CD's anymore. Its so much more convenient.

Now im saving money not having to buy cd's :D
