Evo X Released in Japan!

So none of the new models are going to have the 08's engine, I thought the Evo had the 08 engine but all modded???

 

You are correct. The base model trim level of the 09 will have the new 2.4L I4 engine with an estimated 175HP. The Evo X, however, will use the 4b11 engine found in the 08' model as it was design for the extra stress under turbo and compression. I believe it is called the 4b11 T/ something (T for TURBO).

Hopefully, the turbo will be available aftermarket....as an add on for the 08..
