the wheels are what the 09 galant ralliart and eclipse gt come with....i got them when I bought my 09galant se....they are 235 45 18 tires and I am sure they are 18x8...on the stock wheels you WILL feel every crack in the road in a full car but the bigger tires help soften the harsh ride........and look damn good too if I may say so.....tire rack has struts but they are oem replacements for now...we have KYB stock if you didn't know
are AM struts better than kyb struts? bigger tires as in wider or more aspect ratio? also, whats the max tire width i can get with a 7.5 width wheel? without rubbing with the teins that is i was thinking 235/50/17?
when he says am struts i think he means After Market.....im not sure though, flow will answer more aspect ratio.....the bigger sidewill will help cushion the bumps.... my tires are 235 45 18 i would say this is the widest you can go with the teins...i rub...but only when i turn to lock...like doing a u turn...or turning out of my driveway...it only rubs when you turn the car all the way....i've only hit one speedbump that i scraped on...and there are quite a few where i live...the road noise died down when i swapped wheels...you may be able to get away with 8.5 on the width of the wheel but i wouldnt go wider than 235
When I said AM I meant after market struts. KYB are awesome but I'll be getting coil overs after I get my rims/tires or just KYB struts. ^ So you won't rub on 18x8.5 +44 225/40/18 or you're not sure because that's what I'd like to go with for my tire/rim...
i would tell you it wont rub....i have 235 45 18 thats bigger in width and thickness.....so yea itd fit...
no problem...im not sure on the offset but i know its between 30 and 45.....its the stock galant ralliart
For the People who have these.. have you guys been putting on camber kit? or just the springs? if u guys dont have the camber kit does it really F** up your tires or struts faster?
without the camber kit the tires might slant a lil when u drop it and if ur wheels are at the same angle as they were before the drop then your tires will def wear out unevely, im not sure abou faster but def uneven.. as for the struts. i bet with a slight bent/slant there will be more pressure on them so ya i guess they would go out faster too...
honestly i dont have the camber bolts....and my joints are at maybe -1degree it was very minimal i dont got the paper with me but i will go and check it soon to see...i know the rears are tilted in but there are no camber bolts for the rears anyway yet...
