Maybe we could get a canadian to confirm, but taxes are raised to cover the schooling and healthcare, but to go and see the doctor is like a 1 hour wait because everyone goes and sees the doc with any little symptom. I hear you can buy or upgrade your package so you can see the doc soon, something like a VIP package with a VIP price... True or False?

After reading what everyone has to say so far, I say that hard working Americans who cannot afford medical insurance should be able to take advantage of a universal healthcare system (or free health care). My issue is that lazy people who throw all their money away towards useless things and have nothings better to do than live off other people's tax money should not be given this right. Who's going to pay the bill for all this? Us. Look at Canada (no offense to the neighbors up north). Everything you buy is taxed quite heavily compared to ourselves. More info on Canada's tax rates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Canada. Basically what I'm trying to say is that we're going to be working our asses off to not only provide for ourselves and our families, but others as well. This is essentially socialism. To end my say, I quote "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." Enjoy what you have for the next 70 or so days.
