omg I cant wait... i want specs, i wanna see how much hp will we get. Im def getting one no matter what.
anyway to fit a nice rubberized bracket to hold that cross pipe, I assume from the IC, that rides over the front end there, just to prevent vibration?
This goes for anybody that thinks they have to go with a 3 inch pipe on theyre exhaust because of the turbo your about to slap on your lancers, think again, because if you go bigger you will likely lose power, especially on 6-8 psi. I recommend 2.5.
Why does the photo and the video show different setups? Is that huge pipe going to jut up over the front end like that in the final product? Curious.
the car is being tuned, it is running good, so good that it has to much power for the stock clutch. we should have the car back in the shop next week.
Yeah but as soon as your hitting 10-12 psi your gonna need the 3" so may as well get it first time around if you plan on working it further down the track. If your happy with a low boost settup then yeah the 2.5 is probably a better option.
not to burst any ones bubble or anything... but i have been emailing one of the guys from rrm and he was saying the turbo kit was going to cost around 4600 bucks :[
Ya too bad our stock engine most likely wont be able to handle that amount of boost safely too high of a CR
Might as well wait an see what Mitsubishi will offer then, and $4600, yeah...not in my budget at all.
again, i highly doubt that mitsu is coming our with anything for our cars.. specially since they arent doing no more lancers after 2010... and if they actually come up with a kit, 4600 would just be the down payment for the kit rofl
wow thats news to me where did you hear that from?? Unless Evo sales really die down I doubt that will happen, unless they just change the name like when they killed off the Mirage name and changed it to Lancer for North America. But again I dont think this is only going to be a two year generation for the Lancer. But ya I dont see Mitsu releasing a turbo kit anytime soon...
We'll see, I certainly won't buy the first kit to hit the market just because I can't wait. I know WORKS is working on something, and HKS has an EVO now, and Tanabe is coming out with parts. There will be a ton of stuff soon. Just a waiting game!
Good luck in getting that shop to perform the tuning. I highly doubt they know how to do the tuning on an 08. Only RRM has really cracked the code so far. Not even works has thiers done and its almost been a year. And now you excpect that company to do it? Pay for a budget turbo kit, you get budget performance. Pay for Road Race turbo kit, you get Road Race performance with a true bolt-to-bolt kit.
agree and that is why the RA is coming out. Then again a boosted fwd GTS sounds pretty good, compared to a 4wd RA, to keep everyone happy...just a though.
