    1) Check system version

Press and hold the NAVI and SET buttons until the Service Mode menu is displayed. On this menu there is an option for Versions Indication. The version information that is important is the loader ( works on BLD-NR-261UM 1.09 ) and application ( works on 00.20.68 )

    2) if you have the indicated version, download the following file:

    http://www.deltainfo.ro/manuals/mitsu/o ... -261UM.rar

3)decompress this file using a RAR utility such as WINRAR

4)use an image burning software such as Nero to burn the resulting ISO to a CD-R (note there is also a README that is packaged in the RAR file along with the ISO)

5)start your car and once the MMCS has finished starting up, insert the disc created in the previous step.

    6) The system will check the disc and display a message that there is an update to load. Choose YES to apply the patch.

    7) The system will display a progress bar as the patch is applied and reboot itself when finished.

8)After the reboot, the system will display the update message again after checking the disk. This time, choose NO as the system has already been patched.

    9) remove the disc and enjoy your DVD-in-motion. (note be careful and don't crash trying to watch a movie and drive at the same time. Is good for passengers so that long trips are not as boring.)

If your application version number is correct, it could be CD Quality. I know that the MMCS drive is picky when it comes to the update disks. what type of CD-R are you using? What software are you burning with? and at what speed?

Someone on mitsubishiforums.com was having problems, come to find out it was the programs he was using to complete the process.

There are all kinds of free software to use out there, so try your luck with something else.

i also read that one guy was having an issue of it not showing up, but he had his audio on prior to installing the cd and after it said checking disk it didn't ask him ot proceed with upload. his problem was since his audio was on, the upload screen was hidden behind it. what i would try is have your audio off, and if that doesn't work push the power button to see if it pops up. i don't know if this is the problem your having but its possible, and is worth a try.

i had my audio on, it was actually sirius satalite radio was on when i uploaded it.

    i love this fix!

if anyone else is having problems, i can make a copy of my cd and send it to you. seems like people are having problems burning it correctly.

    i used Nero

    1. extract files (ALLDATA.KWI & LOADING.KWI)
    2. open Nero Burning Rom
    3. click CD-ROM (ISO) as your choice to burn
    4. add ALLDATA.KWI & LOADING.KWI and then burn
    5. insert the CD into MMCS
    6. after disc check it will ask if you want to update, click yes (will take a couple of min)
    7. MMCS will restart and ask the same question, click no
    8. remove the disc and your done!

Damn damn damn ....i was getting excited to come home and use the patch.....but my luck ran out when I found out that I have the newer version (00.30.94).......Guess I have to wait until they figure out a patch for this one. Those of you who also have the 00.30.94 i will keep an eye out and re-post when they find a fix for our MMCS. :( :( :(
