I get it all the time when I'm driving to and from school. It always just sits at 3k-3.2k.

just an idea... what if i just put back the oem exhaust for long driving and put back the greddy for city driving? will it damage the car or something might went wrong? we go for a long drive like once a yr so i'll be changing it once a yr.. any idea? tips?

that sounds like just a pain-in-the-ass. why change it just for one trip? its not that big of a problem to keep an aftermarket pipe on for any reason. you get used to the drone, and if not, just change your speed/gear here and there.

Yeah, definitely not worth the trouble of changing it back and forth.

If you are changing it for just 1 time a year. No. Engines don't like back pressure too much. The reason why your dealer was gonna charge you $800 is for a tune as well. They dont want to toss an exhaust on your car and you have back pressure. Im not sure for the newer models but I have an intake and exhaust and had a good amount of back pressure. If you don't know what back pressure is. Go outside and rev your engine really high to about 5k rpm and listen to the exhaust. If you dont hear any popping then no back pressure.

But, back pressure is so fun. :D

hmm back pressure, what if there is a back pressure is it bad? what will happen if i install the exhaust?

yes and no. If you havent had a tune or bought a piggyback by 75K it may be a problem. But that's assuming you have just an intake and complete exhaust. Now if you have a lot of breather mods (ported intake manifold, ported header, etc.), Just about anything you can port to have better airflow then it could be a problem within 35k.

It's not a real big issue. And on top of that. If you buy RRM's N/A piggy back then it will help with other bolt-on mods. It will do a basic tune for your car. I drove around with back pressure for almost 7 months. Im sure there are ppl up here that have had an exhaust for more than a year without the tune. It's not a big issue. Only if that's the only mod you do and keep the car for over 75k miles. You will see the difference between an engine without prolonged back pressure vs one with prolonged back pressure. But you will eventually do more tuning before then. And that's also based on if you buy it brand new with less than 100 miles and put it on day one after you buy it.

Magnaflow looks better than Greddy. That's why I'm looking into getting a Magnaflow exhaust relatively soon to replace my eBay one. MF comes with a smaller tip usually.

you ganna sell your ebay one? if so pm me haha

and i feel as though greddy should go on a lancer, magnaflow should go on a mustang haha, no offense to either one

I know what you mean. Magnaflow and K+N to me sound like they go on trucks. Greddy and Injen go on imports. Lol. I probably won't buy the Magnaflow too soon. Maybe the end of this summer. I'll let ya'll know. I'll probably sell mine for like $100 or something. If that. It's almost 2 years old already. Time flies. I like my current one though. Nice deep sound, and then it also has the silencer, but I can't tell you the last time I used that thing. Lol.

axle back isnt hard to install. just do-it-yourself on a job like that. if your not sure how to do it find a friend to help you out. pointless to pay for something thats ez to do.

Unless of course your bolts for your exhaust are all rusted to hell, and need a blowtorch to melt the rust off to take the bolts off. Not that anything like that happened to me. Lol.

Have fun! Just remember, if you do the install yourself, do not be right under it. Shit is much heavier than it looks.
