Have you personally had problems with the paint? (Rust, easy chipping, flaking)

    My car is a few months old and there is a chip in the paint on the hood---and i would have noticed if anything had hit my car when driving as its big enough to have made a noise if a rock cameup and hit my hood or something---

    but i figure its no big deal cuz im going to replace the hood anyway.

    Me too... I have 2 rock chips on the hood, lots of rock chips and scratches on the side door. I guess Mitsu didn't really care about paint on lancer, or try not to spend some money.
    Don't buy mitsu if you care about paint. I guess i'm gonna have to spend some money for repainting in several years.

    bump. ok so after this last winter i am now up to 6 paint chippings on my hood and parts of my car look like swiss cheese. paint quality FTL

    all the little rocks that hit the side of my door while i am driving on the main road, left all these little scratches, and i had the problem when opening my door i have all these scratches under the door handle
