Hood and vents.

    I wouldnt worry about the vents in the hood, water shouldnt be a problem, I know alot of people with some crazy vents in their hoods and have never had a problem(besides turbo looking like it was rusted, but he didnt have a hood on for a long time)and in Florida we get some serious rain storms and u said in S. Cali it dont rain hard so go for it.

    if you are worried about water getting in the intake from the vents. get a hydro-shield pre-filter from injen. they are 25-30 bucks. in oregon it will be a must during the rainy season. hope this helps you out. :D

    they are not water proof but water resitant. it would suck to screw up a perfectly go motor cuz of water.
