HALO: Availability for Next Houston meet

    Depending on when we do this I may be in a rental :/ Getting the car inspected for estimates tomorrow, and then off to the shop. Not sure how long to get it out again ... will update tomorrow.

    Looks like a pinks all out show not sure if it is, but Im sure its all gonna be recorded regardless.

    I havent seen it in a while either but its a good show on the speed channel.

    Well we have a day, time, and place. Most of HALO more active members have okayed it so we could do it soon. We could also try PM'ing some of the guys that posted on the Texas rollcall, maybe they will get a notice in there email and will check LT.

    I need a week notice on the date. Two would be better :)

    Also, who is planning to go out for the 13/14 track? Maybe a different thread for that? Doubt my car will ready by then, but I plan on going.

    Wait where we holding it at now? I thought PZ was the place? Not sure about the baytown track meet for myself :cry:

    from my understanding planet zero is still good for the monthly meets.. but ya no baytown for me too.. found out i didnt get credit for one of my courses so i gotta retake the class and buckle down in school lol :(

    i looked at the site.

    It's not baytown, it's the 1/8th mi near lake houston

    $50 (+$10 for test/tune on friday) for a chance at $1000 or more, depending on the number cars. but i don't think there's a second place for this one. it's straight heads up racing broken down into groups of 16 or 32 of the closest ETs. apparaently you can bring any vehicle you want, even snow mobiles, lol, as long as it can get down the track in 14 seconds. that's pretty slow for an 1/8th mile track.

    it's not pinks, but it's pink's style with him dropping his arms instead of using a tree. and also you have to hot-lap (i.e. no tuning, fixing, resting, or even getting out of your car during the elemination rounds.

    at the end, the winners of each group has the option of putting their prize money up against any other group winner in a pinks all-out style straight heads up race

    The track thing isnt for our meet, I think Silver09GTS was just trying to find out if anyone was going to that event. I don't think I will be but I am not sure yet.

    So does everyone want to go ahead and schedule the meet for Feb. 4th or do yall want to meet sooner as in Jan. 28th.

    I'm good for the 28th, but I'll have to request the 4th off (need to know by Sunday). Saddly I'll be in a rental :( But I'll be there at least to meet ya'll :) Maybe we could just photoshop my car in lol. And yes, I was talking about the track as a "Different" event, just curious if anyone was going.

    Ok seems like people are ok with the 28th, and I kinda want to see the rest of the cars together lol.
