I learned a painful lesson the other day. Used what seemed like super strong two sided tape. Only to see the bracket fly off my car when I was going 75MPH. It impacted my side mirror too. :( I drove back to where it flew off and saw it already got run over. looks like I am going to order another one and drill it this time round

yea, my bad for not shooting down the idea of double sided tape.

there is no way that it can handle the windforce and if the tape IS strong enough, its worse to the bumper and just better to drill at that point.

Looks good vik2rius. I would go the official EVO X route but I dont think I can handle trimming. All my hardwork last time flew away last time. So this time I am going to follow the ebay guys instructions and just drill the darn thing.

hold off till you see my DIY.

I have done it and created it, I did it with No trimming.

I submitted it into a contest so I have to wait till a winner is declared before posting them all up.

I made 5x DIYs that I will be sharing.

theres actually a way to do it without trimming...using a rubber washer, 1\4" - 1/2" thick would do, but theres going to be a big gap...i have to trim mine to make fit the bumper....it was really easy...

    aah, gotcha.

Trust me, go and buy the OEM Evo plate bracket, its much better than the generc plate on ebay for the same price. plus you can get it faster. you can even ask them to take one from the floor model evo and replace it with the one you order.

here are the pics from my how to

ask me if you are unsure about any steps.

to drill the big holes its a size 13mm hole. so dont mess up.
