Yea, i wont lie, the screw probably isnt needed but i didnt feel like dismembering any of my pieces. And besides, taking off the door panels isnt THAT hard.

And alright, ill get a How To going soon. I guess i could throw in the masking work too.

Yea, that is true. Noone would know, but i still didnt feel like cutting it tho. I was helped by SeRious08, and he told me to take off the door panel anyway.

So to paint the engine bay parts, what do you have to do to prep the surfaces properly? also for the spot you have Mitsu motors, do i need a different paint than the engine cover and the fuse box cover if I use plastic paint?

ill be working on a proper how to soon. but mainly you just need to wash the pieces throughly to remove any dirt, sand the parts down with a low grit sandpaper (wet sand them). then mask off any areas you dont want to be painted, or do some artist masking like i did. then paint.

And you dont need a different paint. You can use all the same paint for it, and plastics paint will work just fine.

The engine bay is easy and like you said plastic paint is the way to go. I use Kryon red paint for plastics and it looks good plus there was no need for primer or sanding. That was 6 months ago and still looks like new.
