Seems like you are getting quite a bit better. The tutorials and things we've talked about are great stepping stones and for anyone looking to get into CF I'd just forward those on. But (as you well know) it is not for the shallow of pocket or the short of time to tackle CF work. I love it, and I need to do more myself. But I'm look at something different than traditional CF at present. I'm interested to hear what your other method is for securing the CF in position though...hehe.
Well, Dave you have a pm then Thanks for the thumbs up guys. Here is some more pictures of the new arm rest. I only got the top covered with Resin as Im trying to work on each area and see if that creates less runs and less sanding out the runs. To cut down on the "yellow" I only did 1 good layer of resin, and then clear coats. I also read that this is a better process. So what do you all think?
Looks good to me. I cant see any yellowing at all. But is it hazy? Or is that just the way the camera took the pic?
Honestly, CF is difficult to capture nicely at all. You have to have decent lighting, and a really good camera to capture it at its finest or as it would be in person.
well this one is still only 2/3rds done. I had two nice days but of course i had to work and go to school so this still needs the one layer of resin on one side (the side not pictured at all) but after 6-7 good layers of liquid clear (not spray) and sanding each time, i think it is ready to be finished on the other side. just need another nice day.
