2008 vs 2009.. which to buy?

    tell me about it...
    i live in teh caribbean and the sun here heats like hell...
    and don`t forget to tell the maintenance
    My last car was a VW Golf GTI VR6 and the seats were in leather and beleive me, i don`t want another car with leather... 8O

    Leather disadvantages:
    - Maintaining it can be expensive from what I've heard
    - '09 finance/lease rates higher vs. '08 (5.8% vs. 3.8%)
    - '09 Sun/Sound/Leather package higher vs. '08 Sun/Sound package ($2700 CDN vs $2000 CDN)
    - Hot in the summer (my ass will be on fire)

    Advantages:
    - Appearance (yay)
    - Not available in the States from what I hear? =P

    Personally I wouldn't get either. The Lancer RA will be coming out sooner then the '09 GTS and for only a few thousand more.

    Why the hell not?

    I think the RA in Canada will be way more than the GTS. Just a feeling.

    5k is 25% more money... now when i put it that way it sounds like a lot doesn't it?... maybe cuz it is a lot more expensive? -_-

    Good call!!

    So I went with the '08 WW. Apparently it's a tough car to find in Canada, so the dealership's still trying to find it. If they don't find it, I'll be forced to go to a different colour.. or even.. the '09. I really don't like the other colour choices.

    After the security deposit is made, what would happen if they can't find the car specified you wanted to purchase (in Canada)?

    I went in with the intention of an 09 and found out they were clearing out their 08's, basically I got my 08 es (appearance and tech package + nav ) for the price of a 09 lancer de with no options. Just see what they have.
