So... this is my first black car. I went to wash it at a car wash and then went to dry it, thought i did a good job but then all of these water marks showed up afterwards... and i don't know why... maybe it is the cloth i used to dry it. Anyone have suggestions on what is the best thing to use to dry it with? Thanks

I don't know the exact name but in my house their referred to as squeegies

the one we have is purple and comes wrapped in a little plastic case
its perfect for drying your car, so much better then towels
    looks something like this

check the car cleaning stuff at your local walmart or target or whatever super store i'm sure they'll have them
they go for about 10 bucks for a good one but trust me you wount regret it

once it starts leaving streaks just fold it up twist it and the water pours out and what not.

also its best if you get soap specifically made for cars
we used dish soap for our cars for the longest time but its way too harsh for the paint and leaves spots aswell, the sun dries it out too quick

    anyway, hope this helps

You can use dish soap as long as you wax the car afterwords. I had a black show car that won several shows. For a black car use Meguires NXT Generation soap, followed by thier 3 step Deep Crystal System. It will last you a good 6 months as long as you aren't near the coastline.
