Looking for a set of tires. I have the rims chosen already I just need a new set of tires to go with it. Whats everyone else running with besides the stock ones? What is your opinion on them? Thanks for the help.

I thinking Kumo's myself. I wouldn't mind Toyo either. I have to agree with dunlops sucking.

I got my Kumho Ecsta SPT from discount tire direct, they have been awesome, rain or shine, but definitely not on ice, as i have learned.

Did you pay for the prellies? or Mitsu give you them for free?

I have Yokohama YK520s. Great tires have handled well rain or shine, even at excessive speeds on curvy roads, or at 140mph conditions. Im probably gonna pick up another set once these are done if I dont decide to heavily drop my car, then I will go with the Nitto NeoGens.

Kumo's are great tires and usually come with a great price.

There we go now it's getting more active in here lol. Well I do agree with Kumo's being a good tire. I have had them on my MR2 and worked great. They also do come with a good price. I wouldn't mind getting yokohama's. I don't think they sell them around here at least I don't think so. I will take a look online again. I don't really want to order them and wait. I kinda just want to grab and go. As for the Kumo's on ice. I don't have to worry to much about that down here.

Just to let you know, the Neogens aren't all that great. You sacrifice grip for life. IMO

anyway, I like Yokohama's personally. Especially their Advan line. But they are a bit pricey.

Best bang for buck=Falkens. Either the Azenis for the weekend warrior, or the Fk452's for the V.I.P. crowd, and the ziex series tires for everyday street driving.

Maybe if some of you guys that know some good sites for tires could post them that would be sweet.

Hmm well I definitely dont want to sacrifice grip lol. Agree on Ziex being good everyday tires. O yeah dive_junkie Discount Tire has some Yokohamas in stock, but I had to wait 2 days to get mine though when I went. But you can give them a call, they gave me various options and ideas when I was there as well. Came home and researched the tire options they gave me. Then decided on my tire.

I can give you all the information you want about any tire on the market, from any brand, and in any price and performance category.

What are you looking for out of a tire, and what is your most important requirement? Traction? Treadlife? Comfort?

Well the first thing is I wanted was a wider tire then the thin Dunlops that were on there. Second traction and comfort. You have something in mind for that?

You could run a 235/40-18 (though a little wide on the stock wheels. A nice tire would be a BFG KDW2, or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
