ok im getting ready to start work on my throttle bod and have a few questions.

1: are there throttle body spacers available for our cars?
2: how big should i port it?
3: what is the gold screw under the black plastic cap? (thinking jet)
4: is the egr on the throttle body
5: im positive that the answer is yes, but does the intake have to be ported to match?
6: this one is for anybody in oklahoma. who is a good tuner around here and does anyone in ok have a nice conditon cai for cheap

    OK...lets see...

1: I have seen them for Evo's...not too sure about base and OZ's
2: I wouldn't go any bigger than the intake manifold opening. If the mani is 58mm, porting the TB 60mm will be useless. I ported my mani to 62mm and swapped for a 3G eclipse V6 TB(61.5mm)
3: No Idea..I would have to look at the service manual
4: Don't think so...think its on the intake mani
5: NO...I could go on forever about intake diameter...simple answer: keep it ABOUT the same size
    6: I'm in Alabama....

Well, I did the port before I swapped TB's, so I couldn't tell a huge amount of gains. When I swapped the TB, I noticed a big improvement in throttle response, and the old "butt dyno" seemed to lean towards more low-end power. I'm sure if you did both at the same time, you could tell a difference....

I haven't gotten the Avalanche yet. He's still out of state getting his house and stuff set up. He should be baqck in town in a couple weeks.
