Has anyone removed the stock 8" sub from the 08-09 lancer and put in a 10 or 12 using the stock amp?? If so how does it sound?

    thanks

al you do is buy an amp wioth a high frequency input, which draws its power form a set of speaker wires instead of the AV wires. all you do is your sub has 4 wires going to it you splice all 4 of them to the high frequency input wires (its a jack that comes with some amps such as SONY for example check out my pics for the amp i have and you can see the little white wire coming down below it i disconnected it). the 2 wires that are coming off the factoiry sub with the line going thru them are the positives and the other 2 are the negatives. hook the line to the line and no line to no line. next run the power cord 12+volt to the amp and the negative wire. hook up your new subs like normal with the left and right. When yo are done as long as you splice the wires for the new amop to your factory sub instread of just disconnecting the sub your new speakers will work as well as the FACTORY 10, also I have the NAVI unit and when you turn down the "PUNCH LEVEL" in the settings the menu screen all the subs will lower in volume.

PS DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT HOOK UP A REMOTE WIRE TO YOUR AMP THE HIGH FREQUENCY WIRES ALSO ACT AS THE REMOTE, WHEN THE RADIO IS ON THE AMP IS ON WHEN THE RADIO IS OFF THE AMO IS OFF. IF YOU HOOK UP A REMOTE YOU WILL HEAR SOME HORRIBLE NOISES LOL AND YOU WILL JUST HAVE WASTED TIME LOOKING FOR A FUSE TO USE FOR IT.

thanks if you need more help or something didnt make sense feel free to PM me
