Planning the last of my stereo install and I need some help. I know I want to use a Diamond D6 sub with my Hifonics amp. Questions are,

1.) Should I upgrade my headunit or stick with the factory and run a Hi-lo. I'm wondering how you guys that have done that like the quality with aftermarket subs. I do notice it doesn't get vary loud with my windows down and was wondering if it would still be the same. I don't want to fork out the extra cash for a new Sirius hook up and I like the 6 disc changer.

2.) Should I run 1 or 2 and sealed or ported. I was thinking 1 Ported would be fine. I used to have 2 Kicker Comp VRs on the same amp and I enjoy being able to feel my bass without it being excessively loud (i.e. deafening). I do enjoy the fact that I actually have trunk space now as opposed to my last car, but my last car didn't have fold down seats, so it'll be easier to remove if I need the trunk space for a weekend now that I have the Lancer. Anyone with pictures of their setups, please post because I'm trying to get a visual of what it will look like.

Also, I'm trying to stay under $600

    Thanks

    what i did was this..

    1.- Stock GPS Radio
    2.- High to Low
    3.- One Hifonics Bass Amp
4.- One Hifonics Full Range Amp
5.- Change inside speakers with O2's
    6.- L7 12" Square Speaker..

if you leave interior speaker without any amp then bass or wind is going to eat the music... LOL...

Glad to hear ur handling this. Thats awesome.

There is nothing wrong using your OE unit. I would invest a couple hundred in an Audiocontrol hi to lo that you can tune and that has a high voltage pre out.
You would never be able to tell the difference if your head unit was oe or a $2k after market one with one of these bad boys filtering your signals. Oh and they come with a remote bass knob and have a seperate sub out put. They can give front rear and sub out with just connecting your front and rear high outs to it.

Debating right now between the AudioControl stuff or the Cleansweep. Any recommendations?
