hey im thinking of getting some springs for my GTS but im kinda lost on which springs to get , what do you guys suggest? and where can i get them?
matter of opinion really. From what i've read most people like the Teins. I have had good personal experience with Eibach on other cars though, so i'd say those are good too. it's really up to personal preference
See, when you say what rides "BEST" is really up to you! If you want a really stiff ride with a generous drop to help with that understeer those H-tech's are great. If you want a semi-stiff dropped ride the s-tech's are also really well The eibach's i heard were pretty smooth specially around the turns, haven't heard anything from the tanabe's. But yes, whatever you prefer!
I really want to lower the car, but I just scraped the front end at stock height the other night!! Actually, its the second time, once on each side ... damn raised driveways in NOLA!!! :x 8O
if you are scraping stock, i def wouldn't recommend lowering your car, unless you get one of those rally skid plates. I think there is a company floating around who made some for the 08 lancer
Either that or slowww downn!! haha if you haven't seen the guys with body kits and dropped rides they usually take every dip at around 3-5mph at an angle to reduce the risk of scratch. sometimes you just can't avoid it though. When you drop you risk scratching the bottom though, sadly.
yea i used to have honda with a kit on it so i learn how to take those bumps n raised side walk ramps , have u guys herd anything abou works springs? ay thanks for the feed back guys delph thats kinda wha i was lookin to hear , n i know its my prefrence but just wana do sum hw on it b4 i go n pay for it ya know...
I ahve the teins...I cannot go up my driveway at all going fowards no matter how slow I go....I have to backup into my driveway now....works perfectly
I know that MickyOz just installed the works springs and an anti-sway bar, here's his thread: http://www.lancertuners.com/modules.php ... pic&t=2489 I'd recommend PM'ing him and askin' how they ride
i have WORKS. they really feel like the stock setup, you can def feel the difference in the center of grav. i've never had springs so i dont have any thing to compare to other than the stock. and it takes corners better. i jus wish they would have made them 1.3 front and 1 in the back. other than thar its all good
Will getting lower springs affect your insurance? Do you have to tell the insurance company that you have changed the springs from stock? Oh and why is it that with the packages shown in this thread, the front springs are lower than the rear springs?
hmmm ive looked on other posts n i hear some people hearing rubbing noises with the Teins, now if i were to get the Teins with that kind of drop would gettin 20's on my car be bad as in the rubbin or wha do you guys think?
