Ok i just got my Shakes in between 45-50 mph and i have yet to find out what the problem is, a few of my friends think its something to do with my tires or my Exhaust. I was wondering if anyone else had some input on this
whats the mile age on your car? and have you hit any wholes, curbs or gotten new tires or has it been in the shop?
mine viberated like mad when i first changed tires shes fine now. I get a little sometimes in the mornings depending on how cold it is outside. But yeah new tires usually means alignment. Nothing usually fits perfect first time.
This could consist of many things. -Worn CV joints -Worn U joints -Engine misfires -Warped brake rotors and/or drums -Bent or Damaged wheels -Out of balance tires So let me ask you this. Does it only shake at that speed? or does it ever shake at any other time? I.E. During acceleration/idle/braking? Give us some more info, we'll help you out.
mine only shakes during braking...i guess its because my rotors are warped due to my hand-brake-drifting-u-turns that i always do... i had the same problems with 89 accord...just get new tires...get it balance & aligned and everything will be fined and thats how i fixed the problem...
i have the same problem especially in speeds around 70-80.... but i got new rims and new tires... and i thought at first the rims were bent, but i had them checked at 3 different places and they are perfectly round... and there is nothing wrong with the tires....
My car was vibrating pretty bad around 65+ but it was because of a poor balancing of my wheels and tires. Got new tires today and a perfect balance that took it away My car feels like the day i drove it off the lot again haha. In the town wehre i live i did not feel anyone was competent to mount my tires after talking to my uncle (mechanic) and was referred to a place about 30 miles away. It was expensive though. 60 bucks... I don't feel cheated at all though, they had the proper equipment for low profile tires and aluminum wheels and knew how to balance a wheel like the ones on the GTS, also the wheel weights cost more for the "inside" balanced for wheels like the GTS. Plus i have seen at some other local tire mounting shops where the TPMS sensors are destroyed because of untrained employees..... 8O
