I am officially painting the rims on my car. My OZ's are getting painted black, i'm not feeling the gun-metal sloppy paintjob i did. So, what do you guys think of a red lip, (just the half inch that meets the tire and dips in) and the OZ logos on the wheel being red?? ((not the center caps)) And I'm tempted to re-fabric the doors with a nice red vinyl cloth. Currently I have a black with blue/purple stitching.
I'm thinking about reupholstering the seats too. I'm pretty crafty with a sewing machine. Black vinyl with red in the middle. should only cost me like $80 to do the back & front seats.
may i ask what makes you want red? The logo's being painted red would look good but for the lip i'd say no. Doesn't seem to go well with the theme you have going on your car now.
im not painting the center cap.. theres a raised logo on the wheel in 2 spots that i want to paint red. my badging on the trunk and sponsor stickers are also red. as for inside, my gauges, and map lights are red so far. doing the radio and AC dials soon too.
if you're going with that much red i'd stay away from painting the lip. i think that'd be overkill. just my 2 pennies.
