Well u cant use DVDs u have to use CDrs , and it can only be a CD audio Cd. yes it can play MP3tags but it cant burn off a dvd or a cd made up mp3s . in a mp3 cd u can put close or more then 100 songs , but this navi cant read that , so u have to do a CD audio containing about 12 songs or so.

Make sure you are using a DVD-R and not a DVD+R. Once you have all files written to disk you have to close the disk so that no additional files can be added. It should be able to read the disk as a data disk at that point. I have not tested this on Mitsu unit, but have on Toyota, Lexus and Dodge units that support DVD and MP3.

I tested the DVD-R MP3 the other day and it failed to read the disk. I then took another DVD-R from the same pack and burned a movie, which played. Finally took the same MP3 file configuration and burned to a CD-R, which also played.

The only logical explaination I can come up with is that the media software may only recoginze DVD disks for video mode. Not Audio. I have never purchased a DVD audio disk, so I cannot prove this. I may try to find away to convert one of my MP3 files to burn as a DVD audio format.

    More on that later.

Well I am pretty sure if you use nero burning rom software. What you can do is go to create a Movie Dvd and just add tons of music on there. That way what will happen is it will play the music as a movie but the dvd screen will be black. Just an idea though, not sure if it will work.
