Over the last 2 days whenever I make calls through the MMCS via bluetooth, the displaying shows RM "roaming status" and it also announces that I'm roaming before i make the call. My cell phone shows full service and not roaming status at all, could this be a flaw in the "DVD in motion firmware update" stickied on this forum. I ran this update a while ago after downloading from here and just the past 2 days the MMCS has been telling me i'm Roaming while making a call.
I've used that very same firmware update for my MMCS and I've never had such a problem and I make dozens of phone calls through the system each day.
No problem here either. If I were you I would check your current usage bill from your cell phone carrier to see if it is actually roaming. I wouldn't worry about it tho, as long as the phone is not showing that your roaming I wouldnt worry.
Yeah it's an iPhone so I don't know if it display's roaming or not I've never see it yet if it does, but that can't be since there is an AT&T store a half mile away from where this happens, so it must be a glitch in the MMCS, because I used the firmware upgrade thats stickied on here and that was like a month ago, and this has only been happening for the last 3 days. I think I'll try deleting the phone profile and pair the phone again with the Bluetooth
I am not sure how AT&T works for their roaming configurations since I use Verizon, but I had a similar problem with my phone suddenly displaying a roaming message even though I was in the middle of the known coverage area I had been in for the past 5 years with the same provider. The roaming message was not through the Bluetooth device, but on the phone itself. Verizon had changed something in their roaming information that did not match my phones configuration. When I called their customer service, they had me dial a special *2xx number from my phone that forced it to go through an update of their roaming coverage configuration. When it was done, the roaming message went away. So you may also want to call AT&T to make sure you phone is updated correctly.
