ok so i just got off the phone with K&N and they said that their cai will be available in, at the latest 5 weeks. thats on the shelves within 5 weeks. i also managed to get the guy to tell me a lil about it he said at the most it will be is 449$ and that they were proud to anounce that it will be an hp gain of 6hp at the wheels! i don't know bout yall but im pumped to for this and now to dump my gf so i can aford this instead of her birthday
ummm..... talked to a ladie this time she said it was a cai but not to be classified as a complete cold air intake........but not a short ram intake........... damn people that dont know what their talking about grrr

yea the heatshield buy the engine bay does kinda make it a half and half i guese still 450 for a sri.... hmmm but you do get the 6 hp wich is nice
um i would like a lil less "like omg" and maybe to never hear "ssseriusly"...thats all i want in life along with 100000000000 dollars to by and tune up cars...im ok with living in a loft above my warehouse garage. i dont know bout the CAI/SRI either so im just jerry rigging my own...cut the filter box, ad sum rubber, install universal K&N cone filter. manufacture a quick cheap multi layer tinfoil and some rubber strips = heat shield and paint to match engine cover and bingo i spent 100 dollars and saved 349 wich i can now spend on getting my dual str8t pipe exhaust....or the gas to get to work.....exhaust FTMFW. any photo shop nuts wana toss together a concept of what a white gt would look like with the exact same exhaust on the other side with the same cut out....with cf heat shields "to cover up the damage from cutting the bumper.??? if someone could...or pm me and stay on topic...but thats just unnatural
i'm betting that the cai/sri will be the same design that they make for other vehicles. pipe from throttle body to the corner of the fender and bumper, then plastic/rubber heat sheild to separate the filter from the rest of the engine bay. wada ya think.
