JL AUDIO 12w3 VS JL audio 12w1v2

    So i currently have JL audio 2 12w1v2 subs and i love them, i always have been a JL die hard fan. BUT i came across some old school in great condition 12w3. I used to have them in my previous car and they shook my rearview mirror off my car.

    JL audio fans what do you preffer?

    i know right... dont get me wrong the w1v2 hits hard too but i remember when w3 knocked my rearview mirror of in my previous car :D

    Heh, get 2 Fi BLs. But if it has to be JL, the W3 as long as you have an amp that can push enough power for those two.

    yes it has to be a JL... read above " die hard fan" LoL oh believe me i have a amp for it.

    I have been a big fan of JL as well. And I actually have 2 12w3, and they hit HARD!!

    My friend wanted to comp our subs... He had 2 infinitys, with bass level +2.... i had mine at -2, and let's just say.... He decided to sell his 2 infinity and grab JL subs. :D

    I am going to have to go with the W3's... wire them down to one ohm and you should be golden...

    well i do have a amp for it, but i wanna trade him a current amp that i have on my 12w1v2's for a 4 channel amp. ( so my mids and highs sound better) I did buy a new amp for the new 12w3's but i will call him up

    I dont have anything custom, so they are on the top of the box. I plan on building something custom soon.. It will be basic with sub on each side of the trunk and amp in the middle of the trunk but its going to be hidden in a compartment

    Cool, I'm only gonna run a single 10 so for now I'll mount them to the back of the bigger fold down seat. I'll think about doing something fancy when I get a custom fiberglass box like the stock RF one
