Installing door speakers in 08' Lancer?

    is there some sort of adapter you have to buy to install aftermarket door speakers? i just tore apart my doors and come to find out i have the only car in the world were you cant just skrew new speakers in place. :evil:

    I think for the most part people fabricate custom mounts, or cut the stock speakers out of there mounts and attach it to the new speaker.

    i found those 1" spacers but i was really hoping to get these in today. i dont really have the tools to fabricate anything. a car audio place down the street has 1/4" spacers but im not sure if it will be enough.

    do you guys think a 1/4" spacer should work? or should i find somewhere to order the 1" spacers?
