I got a letter on monday from Mitsubishi recalling the "rear window sash" It Said: "Mitsubishi has recently introduced a production change for the 2008 model Lancers that enhances side impact protection by ensuring that the rear door latch remains latched in certain crashes. This additional protection can be added to your vehicle by installing a different rear door quarter window sash." wtf is a rear window sash? lol
I have no clue, but I have an appointment this Friday to get it fixed and get my oil changed. I cant believe I have already driven 3000mi lol.
"Safety Concernuring the side impact test, the struck side rear door became unlatched and swung open. To address this safety concern, Mitsubishi initiated a customer satisfaction campaign described in Mitsubishi Technical Service Bulletin SC-07-002, whereby owners of a 2008 Mitsubishi lancer built before May 11, 2007 can get this service performed free of charge.
