First off no pics...sorry. My girl went out and took my camera. Girl's night out/I get to work on my car without bitching...and drink :)

Anyways...I bought 4sqft of dynamat at Bestbuy...plan ahead cause I spent $40 on it. pissed me off but I had to do something since my girl left. I'm going to explain this as best as I can.

First off, you don't need any tools except scissors to cut the dynamat. I bought 4sqft and it worked. You need to remove the panels on both sides of the rear panel (i'll add pics later). There are only 3 panels back there. Do not pull hard. Strength isn't necessary for this.

Once you have removed both panels, there is a plastic cable connecting the panels to the car, you do not need to remove them. Just move them out of your way.

There are 4 circular clips holding the rear panel to the car. I used 2 butter knifes, placing them opposite of each other to pop the smaller circle out. Once you pop this out, remove the larger one. The smaller circle is attached to the larger one. Again, strength is not necessary. I broke one doing this.

Once you have removed the 4 clips, push up on the rear panel. There are 5 white clips holding the panel down to the car. Lift and they will pop off.

Once you have done this, you will notice some resistance coming from both sides of the panel. This is where the seat belt is. There are no clips holding this down. just slide the seat belt down through the slits and make them come free.

Once this is done, remove 4 circular clips/5 white clips holding the panel down/moving the seat belt...pull on the rear panel. There is nothing else left holding the panel down.

Now you have removed the rear panel. This is where your own imagination can come into play.

I cut thin strips of the dynamat and placed them along the edge that touches the rear windshield on the underside of the rear panel; maybe less than 1/4 inches and covered the panel from end to end. I made 4 layers to add more thickness.

When this was finished, I still had a lot of dynamat left. I kinda ghettopfied the rest. I cut the dynamat in squares, as well as, strips to cover as much of the rear deck as I could. I know this isn't professional, but it worked.

Once I covered the rear deck I placed the panel back on the car and clip everything back on. Be sure to pay attention to what you are doing. I removed the panel slowly as to not cause damage. I didn't mess anything up, except the circular clip cause I was still trying to figure this out.

Now I have one 10" Kicker Solobaric L5. You guys may have more bump, but this does fine for me. When I tested to see if I still had rattle, i couldn't hear anything inside of my car. Now when I put everything I had from my amp to the sub, my trunk area rattled. I do not think this is because of the rear panel, I think it goes beyond that.

This is where the professional people will add their input, at least I hope they do. Again, I'm not a professional installer, but I like to do things on my own, rather than, pay someone to do it. Besides, it was fun.

I am pleased with what I have done. I don't max out my sub so I don't hear any rattle anymore. Feel free to add your own experience...but be nice :) That means you Obie Won Serious08...lol...

I was thinking about doing that, but I wanted to added affect of dynamat. I think KRU did the same thing way back...when he was active...where did he go anyway?

ok...you see where the seltbelt is coming out of the rear deck? look closely at that part and you will noticed a manufactored cut that gave the ability to slide the seatbelt into the deck.

Also, if you push up on the center portion of the deck and pop the clips loose, you will noticed on either side that there is a piece of the deck that is still underneath the seat...just slide that from under the seat and you're good. You will need to push it to the side to get it out. Don't worry about breakin it, its pretty maliable...BUT don't go crazy doin it. I don't want you guys gettin pissed me at cuz it broke. REmember, be nice to it

that's the fun part...you'll have to slide it underneath that portion of the seat. there aren't any clips where the seat is

I understand. When I was trying to take the panel off I thought i may do the same thing. You just have to see what parts of the panel are bending. I must have removed the panel about 5 or so times checking and rechecking rattle.

If you find a way to remove the seat post it. I pulled the seat back a bit and noticed that its being held on by a bolt at the bottom and a small hook at the top. couldn't figure out how to remove the bolt at the bottom so I just removed the panel.
