The other day i was driving down I-45, during the daytime, and I saw this Chevy Silverado and he had his taillights tinted pretty damn dark. We were all in traffic and when he slowed down I nearly slammed in the back of him cause I could barely see the lights illuminate. Its was like two small lights and if you weren;t staring at the lights you really couldn;'t tell.

I say this cause if I were to hit him it would have been his fault. His tail lights were way too dark. Hope you guys take this into consideration when tinting your tail lights. I'm actually going to wait and get the inside part painted black.

If you hit him from the back, its always your fault. No matter what. My uncle works for an insurance company

I'm aware of that but that's assuming his lights work or you can see them. I'm not an expert or anything, it's just my POV. I'm sure its debatable though

call in a cop...they'll decide whether its your fault or not...theres are laws about tinting taillights and how dark they can be...

it almost happen to me too a few years back, another worst scenario is when the sun is right in ur face

    ^ lol

I don't want to tell anyone what to or not to do. Just throwing it out as something to think about.

it's ur fault no matter what though, because "you" should of been more cautious... not that i agree w/ that, but that rule ALWAYS stands no matter what :( even if the person in front of u decided he wanted to slam on his breaks for the fun of it...

lol...you know I feel like arguing this point for the sake of my own stubbornness...but I'm sure there is some hard fact to what you said. Doesn't mean i wouldn't fight it if I did hit him though :D

of course, i'd fight it too... like i said, i don't agree w/ it... but it's the the way it is :(... the only time u wouldn't be at fault is if someone were to cut you off, because there's evidence to show that you were cut off by the angle at which the metal bent... it won't be directly back by to the side as well ;)... or most likely, a fender bender o_O

^ if that were the case i'd prolly be tempted to just punch the guy...assuming it was a guy. I was driving in Louisiana last weekend, what a bunch of dumbasses. and here i thought Houston was bad...

i would still suggest to call in a cop...have them decide if you cant...it would hurt callin them in...thats where our taxes go, make use of it...

one time i hit a car from behind cuz both of his taillight wasnt workin at all, called in a cop for a report, man i didnt know what do, i cant just its his fault...sure enough the other driver didnt know his light was workin and he doesnt have any id or insurance at all...
