Edmunds editors were invited to Mitsubishi Japan's test track to test drive the new Evo X and the older Evo IX for comparison purposes and to critic the car as part of Mitsubishi's final tuning, adjustment, and assembly before the final production model is unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of October to beginning of November. The following URL is the write up about what info the writers could get and share as well as some more pics that are essentially the final production model of the new Evo X. According to Edmunds crew, the only changes left the Mitsu plans for the new Evo is tuning in the engine compartment and performance areas. Thus, the pictures show already what the final outside exterior of the car will look like. http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/vdp/articleId=122744/pageNumber=1 Definitely check out the pictures link on the bottom left side below the last picture as that has way more photos including some of the inside. I wish I could afford it... Bill
not diggin the interior....i think our interior looks much nicer....that steering wheel is ugly!!!.......and its auto 8O
As it says, auto only in the MR version, but a more high end SR or something like that will be released latter in the summer that will have a choice of either a 6 speed manual or a dual clutch auto. If not, there's always a tranny swap  . Bill
The SST is not a slush box, it has two clutches and can shift faster than any human can, those transmissions have tons of potential, if only the manual mode isnt controlled by the CPU
Agreed. I am not saying that it sucks being a type of auto, just that die hard manual stick drivers will not like that the higher end MR is only coming with that SST. Bill
