So I know that everyone is pretty much having problems with their paint gettin scratched real easy and its chippin off like crazy right. Between the salt damage in the colder states to just rocks and crap. So today I went into the dealership and raised hell about it. They said its been an ongoing problem with the 08's and they are gunna fix the damage for free!!! How bout them apples!!!

I heard the same about them fixcing the pulling left issue, and my dealer still looks at me like I have 3 heads when I bring it up.

Im not sure if this will work for everybody since i know 3 of the mechanics at this dealership and the head guy of the shop but they are gunna look over my stuff and fix it like it should have been from the get go!

Hmmm I better wash my car and see if I need to do the same. Considering what an awesome car it is and how affordable it is I figured this is where they made up the diff.

Hey if I let it get bad enough it will justify getting it painted and then I could get a better color.

So it is just your dealership fixing it for continued good customer relations, or an actual recall from Mitsu i would say the dealer which is really good. But like i said yesterday i called Mitsu Canada and they told me that they have not heard anything about our paint issue BS in my book am going to the dealership tomorrow. I just hope my ranting dont piss off the guys but damn i have not had the sport package a month and somehow the spoiler has scratches om the Fn thing!!!. I was my car alot i hate dirt on her. But i have never used a pressure washer, and I always use the micro fiber shams. I just dont get it the paint cant really be this shitty. Wish me luck.

When i asked the guy at my dealership he fed me a line of bs and said that they couldn't do anything about it. I'm really glad that they own up to their mistakes

    Re:

i got a rock chip on my hood too and its beginning to rust.. i thought i would just buy some new paint and cover it up but thats not gonna do anything.. i would have to clean it and sand it but im not gonna do that if my car is barely a year old and i live in the deep south where we have no snow or salt or anything... i gotta find out more about what they can do!!!

    reserrection...hell yea.

This has been brought up so many times. Some people claimed that mitsubishi re painted their car..but for some reason I have a hard time believing that.

I highly doubt mitsubishi will start repainting cars tht have rock chips earlier than anticiapted...Your car is exposed to the elements and rock chips will happen.

My car is rusting all along the sides, they told me it was just "brake dust" and that it would come off (which it didn't)

Soo.... I put stars over it ;)

I had 2 small chips of paint come off and brought it to the dealers attention a while ago and they said that it was not covered under warr, so it must be your dealer only. Which is great to be you and sucks for everyone else lol...

the paint problem has been going on for a while I have an 03 oz paint was coming of then. I can take my finger nail and scrap paint off plus the bottom side of the spoiler is fading to the primer color they use very cheap paint.

I took mine back to the dealership month after I perchesed it and they would not fix it than nor fix it now.
    Your lucky they'll fix it.

Dealers will never just fix a little scratch. They should however get permission from Mitsubishi to fix the paint issues on the side of the cars
