When I bought my Eibach Pro-Kit it didn't come with the dust covers only the new bumpstops. So I called up Eibach and they sent me the missing dust covers, but when I installed the springs I left the stock bumpstops on the front struts because I didn't have the new dust covers. Now to go somewhere and have them swapped out its going to cost $200 just to change out the parts, plus the alignment I have yet to get, another $70. My question is, is it ok to leave the stock ones on or should i have them swapped. I notice a lot of scweaking and popping noises when i'm turning foward or reverse at low speed when the springs are cold.
Just looked over my tires tonight and i noticed since i didn't get the alignment yet because of missing parts the passenger front tire has worn abnormally on the inside, its almost bald on the inside most part of the tread. This turned out to be more of a mess than I thought, now i have to add 2 new tires to the list of must buy soon.
I had a similar wear situation with my SC Ford F150 Harley after I dropped it. I recommend that you go get it aligned ASAP to avoid any additional wear. You are actually draging your tire which isn't good for any of your front end components. An alignment will get you back to specs. As for your bump stops, I would replace. Not sure but I believe that the stock stops are rubber whereas the eibach ones are urethane. I would definitely change them out.
You should be able to notice the difference immediatley. Just too bad that your tires got worn down like that. Best of luck.
