I know its in the dash some where. But (not ALL the time, but MOST) when my RPM hits about 2 and a half there is a vibration. Any idea what the heck that could be or even where exactly it could be? Its driving me crazy. Its been going on for 3 months now.
Well engine mounts cant really be fixed on your own....You see sometimes to get to an engine mount that has gone faulty or actually has gone missing sometimes you have to remove the engine...(well at least thats what happened to my 95 saturn)....The saturn had it worst than your car does everything in my interior shooked and vibrated through out accelerating....So I cant really tell you where to look in your 02 oz (i had the same car before my 09 gts) if you can see where the engine mounts than you can start ruling out the problem...Best thing to do is find out where all the engine mounts are located and if you find one that is either broken or missing than thats the problem with your car. But really best thing to do is take it to a mechanic you trust!
Hmmm thats a hard one. You cant really find a mechanic that will do you right. They all in some way f you over. I will take her in to be looked at though. May get a couple opinions. TY
NP dude yea I had the same feeling about my cars and "Mechanics" but if you can find one that does you "right" then become good friends with them cuz thats what i did. I have a family friend now that is a mechanic gives me good deals too
Now a days its really easy to fix engine mounts... If you find somebody that can sell them for you... (if you confirm that it is broken) all you have to do is put your car in stands, use your jack to support the engine just enough to take the pressure off the mount, and its just 3-5 bolts... easy as cake...
Silly to ask, but have you replace anything in your dash in the last 3 months or so? Or, have you had the dash apart at any time, like to put in a radio? I only ask, since I have had some things loosen up over time in my dash, and it started to rattle at about the same RPM as yours. Mine is an 06. Hope this helps.
No I have not replaced any thing sine I got it in Feb of this year. I tried to tape what it sounds like. Im not sure if you can hear it. Ill re tape it tomorrow during the day. And then I cant help but to noticed that my letters are not even?
holy crap!...might want to look into the history of your ride. the only way that i see the "lancer" being offset is if the decklid or the whole car was re-painted, and a lazy body man put that crap on. freakin crazy dude....oh, and i can't hear the vibration on the vid. maybe someone else will
Maybe its my cam. Cause I didnt hear any thing when I played it. But I thought it might Make some noise when I posted it. Im thinking the car was in some kind of accident/ But I got it from carmax, and their known for having good cars that were never in accidents. But Im thinking different on this one.
well, the emblem isn't a hard fix, but i would still get the full history on it. the dealership is required to give you one if you request....but i don't know if they will, since you've had it since feb.
Carmax isnt always so "True" i almost bought a Nissan Sentra SpecV like a 2005? or something in that range a couple years ago and the car looked "New" but once i found out that the car was in a 3 car crash and everything was replaced but everything was replaced with a new SpecV parts....So i knew atm never to trust the name "carmax"....How i knew was there was paint dust all over the car in every little crack you can possibly slide ur finger through.....Also there was 2 different types of headlight housings!! BTW i didt not here the vibration either!
I think I will request one any way. See if they give me one. Doesnt hurt to try. Ill post some pic of things I see arent right IMO
i just noticed the same vibration in my car and i also just got it i have an 03 oz rally and i cant figure out whats vibrating if you find some thing hit me up cuz its getting annoying already
