Does anyone know where the wire is located that detects the cars speed? I'm having my Pioneer installed and the service tech said that he could not locate the wire to hook the unit into to detect the speed.

i was trying to find this too when i installed my d3, never found anything. But, on the brightside, my navi works perfect and still detects speed and whatnot. So im content with waiting.

It is not manditory that you hook it up. Aside from that ur technician should have access to many resource to find the speed sense wire. If they are a D.E.I dealer they can find it online on www.directechs.com. I will send an e-mail to my guy at Scosche today and see if replies by the time I get home from work.
