    May I ask what you did? Trying to get a handle on what types of jobs are being lost.

    I was a Marine Surveyor. Most people have no idea what that is. My job was to ensure the safety of offshore equipment being secured and transported land-based and offshore destined facilities.

    That sucks man, that's why I'm semi glad I'm in the Grocery warehouse business. people gotta eat

    I'm sorry to hear that. I wish you luck in your future job search!

    For anyone who is going to go to college soon or thinking about college please consider the following. The company that I work for has hired more then 2000 people world wide in the past three years... WE ARE ALL ENGINEERS!! Go to college for a technical degree:
    - mechanical/electrical/civil/etc engineering
    - IT
    - software
    - environmental saefty (engineering) HUGE DEMAND
    - business positions are not doing well, take this into consideration (esp marketing)
