Those tail lights are freaking awesome!! Do they get scratch easily? That's my only concern about aftermarket tail lights.
im actually not sure theyve only been on for 4 days, but the qualit seems to be very good, they are also DOT / OEM certified so I imagine they are just as good if not better than OEM
if im not mistaken i think it drys alittle flat but ive heard you can just spray a coat of clearcoat over it to make it glossy
sweet, i ordered some so as soon as its here ill post the results, forgot to take the directional photos last night but ill get them up asap
just painted my rims, also blacked out the 3rd brake light as well as side markers and reflectors, also did a photoshoot after a long overdue washing/waxing
when you post the signal pics can you show the reverse also plz keep it up and keep the pics coming being able to see all of your guys modded cars really does inspire others and gives us good ideas to work with ty keep it looking going its looking good i'd like to get/do want : ( trying to save isnt easy ) sharkfin led tails hid lights 12000 (non flickering) 2 tone my stock wheels (no time to do it myself )
I love what you are doing with the car man, I'm also going for the same look on my car, I want it completely blacked out. Right now I'm having an extremely hard time finding those tail lights smoked out, along with a matching pair of angel eyes. I'm still confused on what the halo and HID are. So far I know halo lights can be lights, but you can mix them with HID's and I"m so confused, but it's w/e. Just got a couple of questions, if you don't mind hitting me up. 1. What did you use to black out the side markers, on the side of the vehicle? 2. Where did you buy the tail lights? I would like to look to see if they offer the same version just smoked out, or at least a heavy black housing to give it the smoke effect since NC I think has a ban on tinted out lights. 3. Maybe you can help me understand this whole halo/hid thing. Like I said, to me halo lights, means the cool blue LED rim on headlights. HID I know are super high definition bulbs, but I wonder if I can get the cool halo rim effect with an HID kit to go with it. If so please lead me in the right direction. Other than that, good luck on modding your car, it's coming out quite nice.
since i didnt want to go through the trouble of baking my headlights, i decided to hold off on the halos, instead i did some custom LEDs by the fogs, i think it came out pretty good.
That looks awesome, was going to do the same and now that I know it looks that good I'm going to go ahead and do it.
wired them directly to the fog light sockets, i never used my fogs cuz they were stock yellowish bulbs so the LEDs go on when u toggle the fog switch they are actually stuck to the lip below the fog grills, i got these side firing LED strips from oznium dot com.
oo alright, sounds good, I'm ganna try to think of a way to mount it to the grill so it's not in the way when I remove the fogs. When you say you wired them to the fogs directly like with connectors or splice? Also what white are they cool or natural?
Bro, hands down one of the best i've seen! You've definately done a few things i've been dying to do to my lancer. I heard it's kind of a pain to install the LED tails. Did you have any issues with them? or did you just unscrew the OEM's and then screw on the LED's? Basically plug in play with no additional wiring? I'm currently deployed, but will be coming back home to texas pretty soon. Here are the plans for my Elec Blue 08 GTS: RRM Carbon Fiber Front lip - http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/stor ... cts_id=535 RRM Carbon Fiber rear Diffuser - http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/stor ... cts_id=372 RRM LED TAILS, but not sure if I'm going black housing or gunmetal. RRM Carbon Fiber EVO X spoiler or just remove the stock GTS one and put on a trunk lid lip I did the whole ralliart look last year when I was home so I plan on just leaving the blackout front and remove the chrome. I think that would look sick especially with the CF front lip. Let me know what you all think for costmetic starters?
hey man thanks for the compliment, as for the tails, it was a fairly easy install, basically a clean swap out for the OEM, although be carefull when you plug the new wires in cuz i blew a fuse cuz i put it in backwards....just don't be dumb like me and ur golden
