My 09' Lancer Octane Blue with EVO X Projectors + OEM HID's

    Hi guys! This is my newest mod. Some people says the EVOX Projectors are not compatible or need major modification in the GTS
    in a lot of forums arround the internet.

    NOT TRUE

    Here's the proof.

    I made a HOW TO on this. Hope thats helps.

    Here are some pics of the COMPLETE OEM Evo X Projectors with OEM HID on my lancer. They are plug-n-play.
    They fits perfect with NO modifications and took me
    like 40 minutes to install including removing the front bumper.

    The harness and plugs are identical , just plug it and it's done. Even the screws are in the same place.
    I notice that the EVO X and GTS housing are the same and (The GTS one provide the empty slot for the OEM ballast), they just change the interior with the projector for the Evo.

    The HID's works perfectly!!!
    DRL's are off.

    Opinions are welcome as always.

    quick question.. whats the setup on ur wheels?
    rims size, tire size, will be greatly appreciated :D

    So you can turn your lights on and off with out them blinking?

    Yes, whenever I want. They change form low beam to high to low without any problems. DRL's are off.

    What's the difference? Is it worth spending the extra money for alittle bit better headlights? Would HID's be as good and more cost effective then projectors?

    Sorry for all the questions but I'm not really eager to dump much more money in the car.

    thats looking nice man...if I were you I'd keep an eye every now and then on that HID touching the CAIs silicone hose...just in case in the long run excessive heat wont damage any of them...but looks great man!!congrats!!

    You're rigth. but it's depend for how much you can get them. They already come with the ballast and HID ligths in the projector.
    A good projector beats any regular huosing with HID, plus you don't blind people in the road.

    I'd keep an eye on that for sure, but maybe I will relocate a little the INJEN CAI.

    -------Now guys i wonder if this could work with a 2008 gts, he has 2009 and they may be pre wired for it.... Can someone please confirm if the plugs looks the same on 2008 as on 2009? if so we are in business! Please also check if the wires are in the same pins and same thickness.

    how muxh did they cost you, and is that top pic photoshop because i have yet to see that big of a brake kit for our cars, let me no where i can buy one if its not

    PM sent.

    09 lancer have 2 plugs on the harness and have prewired on a lot of things that 08 don't, thats why is plug and play, 08 Lancers only have 1 plug so they need modification. I only have info on US Specs cars. Thats why 08 lancer owners have problem with projectors.

    All this info is from my post on evolutionm.net where some members help me to find the difference .
    There's a lot of information and answered questions.
