i have a set of 18" axis wheels with nexen rubber...and when i take a corner hard enough or have weight in the back seat, the rear tires rub on the rear bumper bolts...not the fenders. i know two other people here with 18s and 20s on their lancer and they have not had this problem. the only thing i can think of is to get a thinner tire...like a 35 series, but i don't think it will help me much....any has anyone had this problem?? or is my r/a just a freak of nature??

i think i know what your talking. its a bolt that holds the bumper. Had the same problem on my friends RA so what did was just cut it off and problem solved no more rubbing.

yeah, i was thinking about that...just kinda worried about the corners of the rearbumper coming loose...i may still try it. if it screws up, i can fix it... well, at least now i know that it isn't just me. thanks man

Worst case you can always retie it up with strong wire ties. They work well to move the inner fender liners, skirts, or bumpers just enough to clear the wheel and tire.
