The Evo X comes with projector style HID headlamps as a package, I'm not sure if the 09 Lancer GTS will have that as a package or standard.

I was told when I bought my lancer that the evo X headlights wont work on the lancer. Not sure why just what I was told.

the reason qhy they wont work is electrical, physically they are exactly the same!

My local Mitsu place said they had an HID kit for the 08-09 Lancers. Other than that, the body is wider on the Evo X so the housing is probably bigger as well. Theres my 2 cents.

    Re: Headlights

The headlamp installation from an Evo X HID system has already been accomplished on mitsubishi-forums. It's a direct bolt-in. He didn't have D2S bulbs so he retro'd his existing 9006 bulbs. They worked.

However, you lose the autolevelling system because our harnesses aren't set up for it, and his high beam(s) now point too low to be useful at all. It also cost over $1000USD to do. so, yeah.
