isnt there a bunch of wiring attched to it... i was thinking of getting the shark fin but i always thought the antenna was vital to my car and couldnt think of anywhere else to put the wiring??
All you have to do is unscrew the long piece. The base stays attached to your car, the fin have a litte wire with screw provided that screws into the base of the antenna that is still attached to the car.
you dont remove the plate. You just take the original antena off, leaving the plate on, then you attach ( screw ) on the wire that came with your sharkfin, you screw that wire onto where your original antena was. then you apply the shark fin to the roof of the car, make sure you apply it first to check fitment, before you stick it on...
