cold air intake?

    Me and my friend are going to try buling one tomorrow

    since im a newb to this stuff any advice?

    we kinda picked out where we are gonna put it but im more worried on the sensor

    well if anyone got information :D

    yeah b careful of the sensor. if it reads the wrong flow then ur computer will go into a fail safe mode and fun like crap or not run at all.

    yeah but how do i correct it? or change it or something 8O

    haha well were gonna play with it tomorrow

    oh shoot i just realised should this be in the preformace? or customizing?

    the big thing is moisture so right now u should b good to go.

    Sir, you must also watch out with the sensor, that it sits in the same diameter tube as on the stock, because it will through off the reading if it is not. Let us know how it goes?

    hey i think they r gonna use the stock housing for the sensor or maybe modify the rrm. well just extend from there where the filter bolts on. I will pray-lol!

    i think were gonna pick up stuff from home depo so this whole thing will be on us i just remeberd that what if it rains and its too low OMG i need on this stuff now

    5th just try to use the stock tube that the sensor sits in and make sure everything is on there super fucking tight.

    Obviously being in so cal you wont have to worry much with the water.

    What I would like to see done is a subaru intercooler style CAI with a hood vent. :lol:

    okay i kinda get ya on thatdoesnt seem too tuff we got a pefrect spot seems like it so air with get in

    maybe try cutting your stock air filter and put on a filter on with those metal tie things.


    that should make an sri but not cai thats if your not able to make a cai

    I only have my sidekick so pictures arnt going to look that great

    But would pvc piping be bad for the car or mess with the airflow? Hmmm

    just an update guys

    we have the piping done and the filter on and we drilled a hole for the mas but still check engine light :/

    resting the car see if we can get it going :oops:

    no the car ran fine with out the maf sensor but the check engine light was on i tried my best but 10 hours later i couldnt find a way to fix it unless i streched it all the way down to the filter oh well im dead effin tired i stick and im mad..... but i did build a warm air intake.... so hah take that.... car runs fine nothing wrong with it.... has that sweet sound to it but i dont feel "da powerz" but i feel a nice pull with the intake roar :D

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha

    i paid 110 and came out with alot of extra stuff.....

    so idk... do the math
