Im thinkin of getting the Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs, but the only thing that people have been saying is that it will wear out my stock shocks pretty quickly. Is that going to be a problem?

the drop isn't extreme enough to wear them out real quickly, however as with any lowering springs they will shorten the eventual lifespan of the shocks.

The tein springs are fine for our car.. the difference of the 2 cars is not that big... now when you get springs with the stock shocks, it is ALWAYS going to wear them faster... thats why when you want a suspension setup you should go with the whole setup, just not springs...

eh whats up bras...well i jsut orderd a set of teins and i was searchin about them and i read somewhere that youll blow your struts after a while with teins on?..i was jsut wonder if you can bypass that by doin some serious weight reduction and gettin some new and better aftermarket struts..would that help much?

better aftermartket struts would be your best alternative. as for a specific manufacturer, you may have to search that.

the tein spring that are out right now are for the 02-06 lancer and are not designed for the 08 lancer sturt, so yes they will cause unneeded wear on the car. the spring rate for the 02 06 is alot different from the 08.

off-topic,hey Brian, have you guys looked into better struts for the 08s yet?

the struts for the 08 are fine if u have the correct spring to go along with them. if u want a strut upgrade coilovers are the way to go.

so what exactly is the problem with putting tein springs?is it the fact that the springs drop it too low?..or is it because the OZ teins spring rates aren't made for heavier cars like ours?..because i know they fit with little to no problems..and anyways aren't the springs offered@RRM origianlly made for the 06 oz rally aswell?..and do you think oz ralliart struts would fit in our cars since the springs fit? and if not..are there any aftermarket struts out there for our cars besides meganR coilovers?...

the teins fit, yes, but spring rate is not designed for the heavier 08.
