I bought my GTS last November around Thanksgiving in New Jersey. Needless to say it was well worth the 3 hour drive back home. My previous 03 OZ Rally blew up on me a week before. The timing belt let go and bent all the pistons in the engine. Sadly I didn't want to spend the money on a "refurbished" engine so I bought a "newer" one. Picked up an Octane Blue Pearl 09 GTS. ~~flashback to now~~ What have I done to it? Well when the weather started warming up I spent 3 weeks and repainted my rims from the terrible plastidiped black to a clean Rustoleum high Gloss pure black. For that project I took another week and redesigned and painted the center caps with colorshift and metallic silver. I replaced all the lights (except the headlights) with LEDs. I also replaced the side markers with smoked side markers I found on Ebay. Worth the small coin. This weekend I put in my Pioneer head unit. moved my Clarion APX1300 Amp and my Dual BP1204 Subwoofer. Tomorrow I hope to start putting in my Dual Illuminite speakers and tweeters. What do I plan to do? Not sure after that. Looking to replace the badges because the guy before me plastidiped them all and even the beautiful chrome grill liners. Looking to put in some halo rings on the head lights and also put in new tail lights because they don't match the rest of the car. I am also looking for someway to stylize the gas tank door and looking for someone to do a custom racing strip for the sides of the doors. Also looking for some LANCER and GTS badges and even a MITSUBISHI badge for the back. As far as performance my friend was talking to me about a new air intake and a few other things but I don't have a lot of money atm. About me? So I am new to the car scene. I live in the computer scene both professionally and causally. I run websites, repair peoples machines, have been a competitive gamer, and been an online DJ for a while. I am looking to lancer forums for maybe a car club in my area as well as to learn how to do something things. As I said I am doing a lot of electrical. I even found I needed a new battery today when mine had a bad cell in it. SO what now? Pictures? Bare with me as I will get them up and you can laugh what my stock engine and other nonsense. If you are in my area and have a place for me in your club let me know. My motto on cars are Form and Function. I can't stand cars that are over stanced. I don't have gobs of money so my car is my everyday driver. So whatever I do to my car needs to be fixed and working so I can drive to work. And yes I drive CVT because my wife doesn't know how to drive stick and I want her to be comfortable driving my car if she has too. So like I said hit me up. I am looking to learn more. I just took my car to show in Lyme Rock Park for the Spike's Ride for Sandy Hook. My friend drives the Sandy Hook Durango and had me come along. I am up for car shows.
