How many 02 sensors are on the WHOLE lancer exhaust system(header, downpipe, catback)? i'm curious because i am looking at ebay headers (because RRM dont make downpipes) i think im gonna try them out but 2 different header/dp have different number of o2 insertions.

Our year Lancers only have 2 o2 sensors. Like tim said, one in the header, and the other connected to the cat further down the exhaust.

yep 2, what header are you looking at? Post a link. Ive got an Ebay header+downpipe and it only has one o2 sensor hole.

The header and downpipe should only have one spot for a sensor, I'm pretty sure. The other sensor is further back and almost on the cat I think.

I have a ebay n1 cat back which sounds decent, plus i installed a rrm test pipe in place of the second cat, i wanna get the 4-2-1 headers and downpipe from ebay so i can complete the exhaust system. I know there was a o2 hole on the test pipe/2nd cat...just wasn't sure how many o2 holes were on the header/dp but thanks guys.. you just have to be careful with the things you buy on ebay theres so much crap out there

it bolts right too it. You can substitute the cat for a test pipe or straight pipe as most call it. It is illegal and will make your car hella loud too.

That is the exact same header I have. It bolts right up to the cat. You only have one cat. I have an OBX hi flow cat that replaced my stocker, but the downpipe bolted right up to that.

so the ebay header i ordered came in...problem is..it was the wrong one! instead of the one where the flange is near the bend of the dpipe..i got the one were its 4-2-1 and the flange is where our cat would be on the stock manifold...im just gonna stick with it but i also noticed there is 3 o2 sensors on the header/dp...ugh im installing it tomorrow i hope theres no problems...ill let you guys know

the 3rd one is for a wideband sensor for easier tuning. use the 1st and 3rd one.
