Let us know on the install, homie. On a more depressing note.....I'm having clutch/trans porblems with the R/A. I hope a new clutch is all she needs.....if not, I may be getting rid of her...

that is pretty sad news. And hopefully it is just a clutch issue. If you do sell it I got dibs.(Not trying to sounds like an ass or anything).
What's it doing if you don't mind me asking?

Jogen-I thought you had that Evo 8 cluster?
tim-why does it always post your posts twice?

I do have the cluster. That is the back lighting. The back lighting for all Lancer models is that same orange red dull look. And it's hard for me to see at night around here. Waaay too many street lights. If it was that bright blue then I could see it easier. And the evo8 cluster says lancer on it which is weird but still makes sense since it is a lancer. Just super modded from factory with awd and 263 whp engine. I would do it on my own again but I messed up on my oz rally gauge cluster. I got the lighting to work but my gauges were off until recently.

...ok. So you're still going to put the blue lighting one in, correct?

ehh....it has a slight shudder from the front wheels when I go into 2nd (not grinding from a synchro), and if I put it in neutral and let it idle with the clutch out...after about 10 seconds, the RPM's drop slightly and the car starts to idle rough. push the clutch back in, and it fixes. It sounds like throw-out bearing or the fingers on the pressure plate are worn out.....basically, I don't think the clutch is disengaging all the way...

yep. Thet cost freakn $90 but its better than me doing the sanding my self.

Do you hear any rattling sound? I'd let you borrow my OT-2 and ipod so you can see where your idle is at but your all the way south. :(
i'd do a lot of searching before going to the stealer-ship to get it diagnosed. And if that fails I would go there and see if they know what's up. But some are pretty smart and aren't jerks. but it does sound like a clutch issue just a bit. Just don't do what I did and drain the fluid. A lot of my clutch was in the fluid when I drained it. So it's kinda slipping. I need to take some days off to change the whole thing out. But with dumbass being out cuz he fell off his bike from riding it the first time at 87 mph and had a surgery, no one knows when he will be back. Just my luck. Although overtime.

Hunk we should start up that LANCER2QUICK fund for him so he can take that vacation and have no worries for a week or so.

Ah yes. Good idea. Let me check under my bed right quick and get your address Jamie, and I'll mail you 2 million. I've got about 100 under there, so no need to think about paying me back. Lol.

Nah, no rattling...just the normal engagement sounds. As for the fluids, I change my brake fluid quite often.... If I'm doing a trackday, I'll usually do a fluid change during the lunch break so I start the second session with a firm pedal. Since I've been doing the autoX a lot lately, I usually change it every 3rd event...so, every 3 weeks or so.

I've dealt with clutches a lot from when I worked for Dale Jarrett racing and from my R/A. After driving it for a while, I can kinda sense whats working and what may not be. I skip out on the stealerships on stuff like this....I can do it myself.

I've got oil in my coolant. It's not such a bad thing except oil gets thicker when it's cool. And as it stands it takes forever for my engine to cool down with these temps. 95 degree + weather. It gets to like 85 at night. So 6-7 hours approximately for my engine to go back to cold (according to the sensor in the car) but if I touch it, it is stil fairly warm. Sounds like I have a head gasket leak or either someone open my engine head and didn't tighten it back on properly. Anyone know the torque the outer bolts should be. Mine seem fairly easy to remove and I don't think thats right. It should be tight enough for me to give it a little bit of elbow grease like removing the bolt on your wheels to remove the wheel itself.
