So is the intake plastic or metal? As of now are their any shields for the filter like on the injen to prevent hydro locking?
Well, there are 2 sections of this intake...the longer tube seems to be a sort of black ABS plastic type material, and the shorter pipe is a gunmetal powder coated metal. We have no sort of filter covers for this intake.
here is an actual photo of the AEM intake, the only weird part about the intake is that you have to cut your MAS sensor wires and splice longer wires so that the acutal MAS sensor will reach down to the MAS plate which is located about 2 feet lower than stock in the inner fender well.
